"Lord, why am I here?"
LORD, WHY AM I HERE?
Here you are - At a crossroad in your life. You’ve been through many hardships and trials, good times and bad times, ups and downs and now you’re in anticipation of an answer to the question, “WHY AM I HERE?” There may be some mental or spiritual stress, some physical or financial issues in your life right now and you find yourself in a place of wonder. It’s time to ask God, “LORD, WHY AM I HERE?”
Why this situation? Why this condition? Why this predicament?
Let’s be transparent. Are the plans you made for your life turning out the way you thought they would? Do you feel stuck or lost or do things just appear to be out of your control? Have your expectations not been met concerning where you thought you would be in life right now?
You trust God but you really want to know from Him whether or not there is another route for you to take to get where you need to be because this road has been a real struggle.
There is a safe place in God’s will despite your circumstances because regardless of the path you had to take, remember, IN THE END YOU WIN!
You’re here to win! Despite what it looks like in the natural.
Even Jesus had to endure struggles and pain in His journey. He hung on a cross between two thieves and had to listen to the mocking of a man who was suffering the same fate that He was. He was also mocked by the religious leaders, soldiers and common people who, if they truly recognized who He was, should have been praising Him and sitting at His feet learning about God. Even His closest friends had left Him.
When you ask, “LORD, WHY AM I HERE?”, you need to realize that your current condition or circumstance is not always your fault. Sometimes, you are where you are because of others mistakes or even the misconceptions of other people. And sometimes it’s done deliberately. Sometimes things are just out of your control.
Because of your family background you may find that you are lacking in some areas of your life and now you find yourself in a position that makes you feel like you haven’t reached your goals. You find yourself asking God, “LORD, WHY AM I HERE?”
It's not your fault that other people don‘t recognize who you are.
You may have put up walls or stopped trusting people, you may struggle with low self-esteem, anger issues, insecurities, depression, bloodline and generational curses but these things are not your fault. You don’t have to claim ownership of something that doesn’t belong to you. God wants you to be free.
Jesus knew His purpose on the cross and He would not allow what other people said or didn’t say, or did or didn’t do cause Him to not keep moving forward. He kept His focus on what He knew had to be done.
“WHY AM I HERE?”, you ask. There are some things you need to die to. There are things in your life that you need to let go of to be set free. You are where you are right now so God can heal you. He wants you to surrender all of your life to Him, even if it kills you because to live is Christ and to die is gain. (Philippians 1:21)
Give your thoughts, your mind, your body, and your life as a living sacrifice to God. (Romans 12:1)
You need to get to the place where you can move around as if the way they mishandled you never happened. When you can forgive, you can be free.
“LORD WHY AM I HERE?” Sometimes you are where you are because you are able to open doors for others to gain access to blessings because of the sacrifices you make and the things you’ve gone through. You are here so you can help set some people free because everything you went through was not in vain. God can use every situation you’ve been through in your life, good or bad.
“LORD, WHY AM I HERE?” So people will come to know that God is real because someone is always watching how you handle the messy places in your life. It’s through you and the sacrifices you make that they see God. And it’s because of you that many people can come to the point where they ask, “What must I do to be saved?”
“LORD, WHY AM I HERE?”
To bring in the harvest of souls.
To turn hearts to Jesus.
To free others from spiritual bondage.
To give God glory, even in the midst of suffering and to cause others to give God glory too.
When you come through this, people won’t be able to deny the power of God.
After you die to some things in this season and God gets the glory, the issues that plagued you will no longer keep you bound.
THERE IS A RESURRECTION WITH YOUR NAME ON IT!
